Live TV Program Guide does not work since latest version of Plex Media Server 1.11.3.4793

I am based in Melbourne, Victoria (Australia) and ever since the latest upgrade to Plex Media Server 1.11.3.4793 the TV Guide (EPG) now does not function and I cannot use Live TV at all.

The DVR setup I have not changed. I just tried to remove and re-setup the Plex DVR and still it seems to get stuck on 1% - Initialising when setting up the Program Guide (using freeview - Melbourne).

Any ideas? Is there a simple way to roll-back to a previous version in the mean-time?

I am more than happy to run some diagnostic tests if that would help resolve this problem sooner.

There is an issue with EPG failures due to JSON parse errors.

You can try to delete the DVR tuner and add it back to see.

Or post logs so we can check.

I tried to remove the DVR Tuner and re-added it back and this time it seems to be working (EPG loading - currently at 58%). Should this issue happen once more I will post the logs. Thanks for you quick response.

The EPG completed but still when selecting Program Guide it shows “The Program Guide is empty”. I am attaching the logs so hopefully you can look further into this.

Thanks in advance, Andrew.

This seems to be the same issue as here: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/308148/bug-epg-high-cpu-usage

Plex DVR can’t be used at all since the latest update.

Confirmed also in Melbourne Australia and also have the same issue.

Plex Media Server v1.11.3.4793

Since this update, I cant access the program guide via plex web, cant delete tuner or anything

Same issues since 1.11.3.4793 server update, v.high CPU when trying to view the program guide

EDIT: Downgraded to 1.10.1.4602 and this is rebuilding the EPG ok … have to wait for a fix for the most recent update

got this problem too! its started this morning, its using a full continue ongoing stream (3/4mbit) and use fulltime 20% op cpu power, restarting plex, reboot the whole server. removed the tuner, nothing did work.

the log is filling with:

when refreshing the epg data in the dvr setting page its running from 0 - 100% and then finished the process, but it didn’t.
when going through Plex web to the program guide, tis saying the list is empty, view seconds later the browser fully freezes…
Really annoying, hope there whil be a quick fix

following…

Appreciate the extra feedback to hopefully increase the chance of a faster resolution. Still no change here DVR not usable.

Since I have never downgraded, can someone suggest the best means to do this successfully (with no loss to my current settings etc…)?

I found the Media Server updates folder inside: C:\Users<myusername>\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Updates… Can I use these in some way?

Thanks I will follow the link and respond under that discussion with my results.

There’s a new version uploaded today 1.11.3.4803 which fixes the issue for me.

updated Plex, currently its refreshing the epg, but now i can access the Program Guild without freezes

Latest update 1.11.3.4803 hasn’t fixed issue with me. Still saying the program guide is empty.

Update: Left it over night and guide is now back up. Although 6 channels are saying loading and aren’t accessible

1.11.3.4803 fixed the issue for me. So far so good.

4803 did not fix this for me. Really need a stable EPG for this to be a reliable product…

Anyone get this fixed?

Ditto … 4803 also NOT fixed the issue. Tried deleting DVR and starting from scratch, re creating DVR (making sure latest HDHomeRun Connect firmware … it was latest, no change). Program Guide re updated … problems and so now no program guide and so no recordings.

Been using Live TV / DVR for a couple weeks now. Loving it, today nothing. Guide and DVR is empty. Tried to rescan channels and redownload guide data. Just starts at 0% then nothing.
