I’ve been running the live TV/DVR set-up for some time and the recordings work just fine (minus some small bugs).
However, I have this issue I can’t quite figure out. When I watch a live TV stream on interlaced channels (CBS, NBC) with the Shield it looks great and streams perfectly (Hauppauge-Quad or HDHomerun Connect) for about 20 minutes. After that time period, it looks like it starts dropping frames and stutters, making the stream unwatchable. I don’t have this issue on 720p streams, so I suspect it’s related to the interlace stream. I’ve tried nearly everything and it happens whether I use the HDhomerun or Quad card. Hoping to reach out to see if I’m missing anything, or have it noticed as something that needs repaired.
