I have a Samsung UE50ES6710 TV but I am unable to view / access the live TV through the Plex App from my HDhomerun Quotro which is installed on my Network,
Will there be an update to the Plex app on Samsung TV’s to allow viewing of live TV with the Plex App?
That is correct, Live TV is not supported on the Samsung app and Plex devs are not in the habit of announcing features / release date in advance.
It is also not supported on LG, plus you can’t even cast it. If I can’t cast Live TV TO a TV, Live TV is a pretty worthless feature.
I’ve read comments from a dev that he attempted to add support for live TV on Samsung but due to the Tizen OS on Some
Samsung models it wasn’t supported. I hope Plex is able to make the necessary changes to support the Tizen OS.
