I would like to use Live tv and DVR in conjunction with my UPC cable connection (in Graz).
I just don’t understand what I need to receive the encrypted channels from UPC with Plex.
Maybe someone here can help me, also via PM.

Plex doesn’t support encrypted channels and it’s not likely they ever will.

It’s funny, though, that when I run the check to see if live TV is available in my region (Austria, zip code 8020), it gives me UPC cable TV.
If I now select UPC as provider, more than 200 channels are shown to me, but the majority of these channels are actually encrypted.

That’s the case with many of the cable systems in the U.S. as well.
So does this mean that the Plex Region Check only shows which channels are available at the respective station, but not which ones are exactly supported by Plex?
