Player Version#: the new one on roku
The problem I get is plex on the roku stops playing the show after about an hour with a generic message that stays on the screen until I click ok about the signal might not be good enough and playback has stopped. I know that isn’t the case because I have like 100% signal quality and previously would fall asleep watching seinfeld on fox most nights and wake up in the morning with the tv still playing. It lasts an hour or less now after update, across any channel.
Computer is plenty powerful, a dedicated plex quad core 3.x Ghz and utilization is 15-20% cpu.
tuner is hauppauge pci-e quad tuner.
I made the mistake of updating plex media server from 1.13.8 or 1.13.9 to this new version (just reverted to 1.13.9 first to see if its better)
I noticed all my ROKUs went to the new UI version a couple days ago. I decided I might as well update plex too. So I"m not sure which one is at fault so I reverted PMS to the most recent downloaded version prior to this, (I’m not 100% sure I actually installed it or the one right before it)
We will see if the problem goes away and I’ll post an update. Hopefully is the PMS at fault and not the new player since I have no control which version of plex player on the roku I am running.
