I am having an issue on the Guide where all I see is the Record Button. I do not see where or how to set up a scheduled recording of new Episodes. Hitting Record works fine recording manually, but want to see if something is misconfigured. Thanks
After hitting record this window should appear. on the recordings list when you click on an existing one the same window should appear to edit it.
That’s not the screen I see, my option is only to record, and to Add to Library. The only option to choose from is my Movie folders. Could this be an issue with the EPG? It does not seem like it knows it’s a TV show and recording everything as a movie, I see your screenshot shows SxxExx I don’t see that on my screen.

Maybe but I don’t know what you are trying to record so can’t say. Things are flagged as a movie or TV show by the EPG provider
An Example would be Gold Rush on Discovery Channel, tonight is a new episode sop am trying to set it up to record tonight and the rest of the series new episodes. If it is EPG I’ll see what I can find. Thanks.
I created the movies library and you will get the record button.
OK thx, I only get teh option to choose Movie Library so it looks like it doesnt know its a TV Show Series.
The Last Boy Scout is a movie, not a TV show. it won’t have episode options
I have the same issue, many TV Shows are picked up as movies. Someone mentioned that it is not specified in the guide (im using XMLTV) as a TV Show or S01E01 etc. We really need a way to force series record. It is really annoying having to go to each episode in the guide and schedule it to record. It also means the recording does not go into my TV Shows library. Not sure how this would be handled if it did go into the TV Shows library as PLEX would not know what season or episode it is, maybe it sits in a list somewhere and waits for this season/episode to be specified then file is renamed and moved? bit of a can of worms really!
