I’ve seen over 10 posts in the last few days about Live TV & DVR. How does this even make it past the unit tests?
Oh, no unit tests? Makes sense.
It’s never reliably worked. One thread went on for more than 3 years about watching a program being recorded. Plex admin closed it down because “it worked once”. Still doesn’t work, is repeatable and will probably never be fixed. If you want to really see some genius, start a program to record, start watching it on multiple devices, change channels on one device and go back. Think multiple people in the house watching football on multiple sets. When you switch back to the game you were watching you’ll be back at the beginning of the record buffer and have to “FF” to current time 
It’s amazing! Basic DVR functionality. I doubt it will ever work.
