Local Assets such as Deleted Scenes, Trailers, and Featurettes appear in Library View

I recently made some changes to my drives and changed a drive letter. When I updated my movie library in Settings>Manage>Libraries with the new drive letter of the movie folder suddenly Deleted Scenes, Trailers, and Featurettes which are stored in various movie directories as local assets now appear in the Library view.

How do get rid of those?

Thanks,

RP

Are the local assets stored and named according to the rules? Local Media Assets - Movies | Plex Support

Did you only add the top level of your movie folder to the Plex library?

Does every movie with extras have its own subfolder?

Are you triggering the library scan with a call to the Plex scanner executable?

If the answer to all those questions is Yes, then try this:
Settings - Server - Library - ‘Show Advanced’ - “Run a partial scan when changes are detected”
Disable this checkbox for now.
Do also temporarily disable periodic and automatic library updates.
Then start a “Scan library files” using the plex web GUI and wait for it to finish completely. Do not interfere with the scan, do not abort it, and do not start to edit items while the scan is still running.

“Are you triggering the library scan with a call to the Plex scanner executable?”
I’m using the GUI. Otherwise, yes to all of your questions.

I tried the disable periodic, automatic, and Run a partial scan procedure, but the local assets still persist in the library view.

Any other ideas?

Another strange symptom is that the files in question show up with a Trash Can icon on them in the Library View. Hovering over the Trash Can icon turns it into a Play Icon. Pressing it plays the file. Some of these things are getting mismatched as well, showing up as things that they are not.

Have you tried to empty the library trash then?

Emptying the trash does remove the ones with the trashcan icon. However, there are still other Interviews, Featurettes, and so forth showing up in the Library View that don’t have that icon.

Please show an example with actual file and folder names.
