Local Clients Connect Indirectly - Help!?

Hello! I recently installed new FireWall, OPNSense. Before OPNSense I just the standard Verizon router with BOX2. Local plex clients had no issues connect to my Plex Server.

After I removed the Verizon Router and Box2 and put in OPNSense. Now, when I connect to my Plex Server with a local client it connect “indirectly” I cannot figure out why. Where do I even being to troubleshoot?

Good news everything is still working.

I have tried this on multiple clients, Chrome, Edge all the same issue.

Yes I have looked through the forums and have not found a solution.

Update:

When I connect directly to my plex server via https://192.168.xxx.xxx/web it connects directly and not indirectly.

DNS issue?

Hi,

read the section on DNS rebinding - you should be able to just copy the PFsense settings.

Also read up on NAT reflection in OPNsense.

Thank you @BobSnot. I read the first have of that Plex support page but didn’t make it down to the bottom. All resolved.
