Local Extras Playback Error

Movies all play fine, but none of my local extras play. All extras are in “Featurettes” folders properly nested inside each Movie folder, and all extras appear correctly in the player, but attempting to play them results in “playback error - please check that the file exists and the necessary drive is mounted.” I have found that a solution is to remove the entire folder for a movie, scan the library, move the folder back into place, and scan the library again. Now the extras for that movie play. I have over 3,000 movies. I don’t want to do this for each and every one of them. Simply scanning the library does not help. What can I do?

Try refreshing the metadata for a few of the movies. If it works, then refresh the metadata for the entire library.
