Local Plex without the Internet

I’ve searched for this, however i keep finding old posts that don’t apply to the latest version, so I’m asking it again. Sorry if this has been covered. But recently my internet connection has gone down a couple of times, and it’s become increasingly apparent that Plex does not work unless I have internet access. Even when I try to navigate to the local IP :34200/blah-di-blah, I get a login prompt that does not work.

Please tell me there is a work around for this? If not, I might have to move away from plex, and I LOVE plex. So that would bring me great sadness. I do understand PlexPass has to be confirmed, etc, etc, etc. But hopefully there is a work around. And yes, my networks are all listed in the local networks field, but I still get prompted for a password. Is there no way for the Plex server itself to receive a token of some kind and for those with lifetime subscriptions, it doesnt need to ask who is connecting locally?

There are some things that require an internet connection when you run a Plex Pass account. There is no way around this requirement at this time. Feature requests have existed for this, well, as long as I have been on these boards…

Look at this and see if it doesn’t help in some manner: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200484903-Internet-and-Network-Requirements
