Hi !

The two shows in the title are merged on watch.plex.tv making their tagging impossible with the “modern agent”. Here are the 2 shows on TMDB:

How to report this to the team in charge of the plex agent metadata ?

Even with using the direct tmdb id method, they both are identified as this one on watch.plex.tv:

The problem is that these series are merged on IMDb Locked Up (TV Series 2015–2020) - Episode list - IMDb
And both versions on TMDB (and on TVDB as well) are linking to the same, unified IMDb record.

The right thing to do would be to either:

  • petition IMDb to undo the merging
  • petition TMDB and TVDB to merge the two versions as well

Merging the two would make sense, because the later series is a direct continuation of the first 4 seasons, using the same cast.

Looks like it was done kind of recently since in May there were only 4 seasons on the IMDb listing Vis a vis (TV Series 2015–2019) - IMDb

The “spin off” continuation was done by another network so IMO the TMDB/TVDB approach would be the reasonable one.

I have no Idea how to get IMDb to undo this though…

You can file a request for change with them.
There is an Edit icon on pretty much anything on their website.

If the broadcast network simply financed the continuation of the existing production setup, there is a strong argument for leaving them as one series.

Haha, Futurama would be made up of - like - half a dozen series if that was the case. As it is, the numbering of it is screwed up, with the databases numbering being off by 4 seasons from the “official” numbering.
