Locking The GUI So Users Can't Mess It Up

Hi.

I use plex to watch Movies on my TVs at home and at a holiday apartment I rent via Roku Players (& Control4 Integration).

Quite often at home and the apartment, when I come back to it the Graphical User Interface has been changed (Accidentally) and makes it hard to navigate and find the libraries/ features I want to use.

At home this means the children and certain other users can’t use Plex as it doesn’t look how they are used to it.

At the flat it leads to complaints on over complicated GUI and guests leave bad reviews.

Can plex please have an admin password that is needed to change and lock down the GUI? This would be an excellent feature set for the Plex App and would make only the features installed/ wanted accessible and not allow ‘everyone’ to mess up the GUI?

I think a lot of users would like this.

You might want to take a look at Plex Home… this will allow you to create „managed users“ for family members, each with their own pin and watch history:
