I am unable to login to plex from my server PC. I can login from a laptop connected wirelessly to the same network. At first I thought my account was hacked or something so I changed the password, but then I found that I could not get to the login pages from my server and now I’ve left my server unclaimed. I’ve checked my IP settings and made sure they are the same as the laptop on the same network that can connect. I tried multiple browsers and incognito mode. I restarted my server and my modem. I changed my DNS assignments around. I tested HTTPS sites and I can get to every other one I’ve tried. I can’t login to plex or the plex forums from that computer.
Any ideas? I’ve had a plex server for years and I’m at a complete loss for what happened.
I’m going to start petitioning for a refund of my lifetime plex pass. Their website not responding has completely disabled my server and I can’t get any support. Very upsetting after years of working.
Did you mess around with VPN in the past?
Some tools manipulate the hosts file which is stored on the machine.
It might be a possible explanation why it works on one machine, but not on another.
