Lonesome dove 4 part TV series will not load

Player Version#:4.110.1
Will not discover Lonesome dove 1989 TV Series. All other Data in folder is discovered and viewable.

The problem is usually naming or permissions.

Please show how you have the files named & organized.

Everything else in the directory loads fine.

Plex Docs → Your Media → Naming & Organizing Your TV Show Files

Step One: Rename the episodes per Plex requirements, then re-scan the library.
EDIT: Use parenthesis, not square brackets, for show year. Plex ignores information in square brackets.

../Lonesome Dove (1989) <-- show_name (year)
..../Season 01 <-- "Season" in English
....../Lonesome Dove s01e01.mp4  <-- sXXeYY important
....../Lonesome Dove s01e02.mp4

Step Two: Configure Plex to ignore embedded metadata
Incorrect embedded metadata may cause problems with movie/show recognition.

  • Edit the library → Advanced → deselect Prefer local metadata
  • Refresh Metadata if Plex does not do so automatically

Step Three: Plex Dance the TV show.
