Looking for Server on Synology Problem

Hello,

I have reinstalled my whole Synology NAS, and when i downloaded PMS i get this screen and it’s stuck there.

I’ve tried these methods already, and i get the same screen every time.

  1. Sign out of Plex settings > server > general (if possible) and by clicking on the ‘Head’ icon (top right of screen)
  2. Stop Plex from Running
  3. Go to https://plex.tv and sign out of your account there
  4. Restart Plex
  5. Open Plex by typing in http://PMS-Server-IP-Address:32400/web and bookmark it.
  6. Make sure you are signed in both in server > general and by clicking on the ‘Head’ icon (top right of screen)
  7. Claim the server if asked to do so

Stop Plex from running on the NAS, then open File Station and navigate to: Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server and delete plexmediaserver.pid (if it exists) and Preferences.xml .

If you do not see the Plex folder in File Station, then see Q7a on the Synology FAQ’s page, link in my profile.

Restart Plex on the NAS, then type http://Your-NAS-IP-Address:32400/web into your browser and don’t forget to bookmark it.

  1. Some of Plex’s files changed.
  2. Please do the following - IF you and the syno are on the same subnet (most important)
  3. Stop PMS
  4. Back in FileStation, drill back down and rename Preferences.xmlPreferences.xml.old
  5. Close the existing Plex/Web tab (if open)
  6. Start PMS
  7. Open an In-cognito tab
  8. In that tab, http://ip.addr.of.Syno:32400/web
  9. If it responds, Start through the setup / claim sequence.
  10. DO NOT create new library sections (SKIP). This is a soft-reset of the ownership only
  11. Proceed normally through for everything else in the wizard.
  12. Upon arriving at the dashboard, go into Settings and put them back how you want them.
  13. It is now your server again.

My Synology firewall is turned off.

Could you guys help me please?

Thanks a lot!

Hi There. I had this this morning on my DS118.
I clicked the connect button and it failed, but then I clicked it again and the second time it worked fine.
Silly question, but maybe that could work for you?

Thanks for the help @markpainter, i was working on this about a week for now and the solution was what @trumpy81 mentioned. Something happened with the server claiming process at the installation.

Thanks again guys!
