Lose ability to offset subtitles with downloaded media

Hey all. Im on iOS Plex and with streamed media, I can offset SRT subtitles to match audio. However, if I download the media, I lose this ability. Does anyone know how to retain the offset function?

I’ve tried selecting subtitle burn in both automatic and with images, but neither give me the offset feature.

e: it seems like subtitles (even external SRT files) get muxed into the video file when the movie is downloaded, which removes the ability to offset the subtitles (since they are no longer external). This is occurring regardless of what the subtitle burn-in setting is set as in the client player settings.

There does not seem to be a way to download a SRT file to play alongside a movie that has been “Downloaded” via Plex onto a Plex Client device.
