I am running PMS 1.24.3.5033 on a Readynas NAS drive. Everything is running ok except for one thing. Plex asked me to update my metadata a few updates ago, which gave me the added benefit of movie trailers which is great. But I have found now that if I go and refresh the metadata again to any movie, I lose the trailer button and the trailers that where once there. Is this a known bug?
None that I’m aware of.
Are you missing trailers you had added as local extras to your library or is this about those trailers offered by Plex? Keep in mind the trailers offered by Plex require a Plex Pass membership.
If this is about local extras / the trailer button… in which client are you experiencing this (app/version)?
It was about the trailers that plex offered. They showed up on my system by themselves, but as quick as they showed up they just as quickly disappeared. So now, I’m adding them to my system as local files.
Looks like some weird hiccup. Depending on how the library is configured, Plex should always be able to see/add your local extras (assuming they’re properly named/organized). The online trailers/extras provided through Plex usually depend on a Plex Pass membership (so those briefly showing up appears to be the hiccup)
