SOLVED - Unable to Connect to Server - Synology DSM7

Server Version#: 1.29.2.6364-7000
Synology DS920+ with DSM 7.1.1

My Plex server is running as I’m able to access my media using the apps on Apple TV and IOS. However, I can not log into the server in my browser. I have stop/started it but every time I try to connect I get “Safari can’t open the page 192.168.2.88:32400/web because the server is not responding.” I have disabled the firewall, disabled Adblock, rebooted my Mac and the NAS both. I tried in Edge browser with the same results.

you are certain that is the syno’s IP and hasn’t been changed correct?

Yes, NAS ip is 192.168.4.88:5001. Plex address is 192.168.4.88:32400/web.

Which subnet???

192.168.2.x or 192.168.4.x ??

Yes, I see I made a typo in my OP. 192.168.4.88 is correct

presuming you and the server are on the same subnet

  1. Uninstall the DSM 7 app using the “Uninstall only” (KEEP) option

  2. Reinstall the same SPK file again – HOWEVER
    – Use the 2nd radio button ( New or Lost server) – Plex Claim Token option
    – Click "Get Plex Claim token
    – COPY the token from the browser window
    – PASTE the token from the browser into the small box on the form.

  3. Click NEXT NEXT DONE

  4. Give it some extra time (claiming + installing takes some extra time)

When it’s done, If successful, the forum will show: “Claimed by: YourPlexUsername”

Next thing to do is open the server by LAN IP address (not quickconnect or FQDN this one time)

I did that and it didn’t work. But, I found the problem. I have NORD-VPN running as a network service on the NAS. When I disable it I can successfully load Plex. Thanks anyways for all your help.
