Lost, need help setting up

I had PlexConnect running on my ATV3 a few weeks ago, but removed it because I did not like having to keep my laptop running (my only option for a server). 

 

I have an AirPort Extreme Time Capsule, and MBPr. I also use AdFreeTime. I'm wondering if there is a way for me to set it up so that only traffic from trailers is routed to my laptop, so that when I want to watch Plex I can turn the laptop on and then start the trailers app, but leave the laptop off any time I want to watch Netflix, etc. I tried researching this and playing around with the settings myself, but I've only managed to confuse myself and now can't get PlexConnect to run at all like it was before. I'm new here, so let me know any other necessary information that I need to provide.

Just flip the DNS from Auto to Manual or vice versa on your aTV:

To bad its not a aTV2 Jailbroken you could run PlexConnect directly upon it and enjoy the best of both worlds minus fanart.

Change DNS (as wahlman.j says) or buy a router (or RasPI) where you can install a dnsmasq service. If you only use the MBPr for Plex it's possible to generate a magic packet for wake-on-lan.
