LotR - Fellowship of the Ring: Audio in part 2 is not playing as selected

Server Version #:1.75.0.3920-8b50876d
Player Version #:10.0.0.4149 (c2617d8)

Hello everybody!

in the precious version of this Post, I detailed that the audio issues in 2 part movies were random. Turns out: It is only the case in “The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring” which is a 2 Part Version, since it is the UHD Blu Ray.
I can confirm, It is not only happening on the NVIDIA Shield TV Pro but also on MacBook M2 Pro and LG TV.

So is there anyone who has similar issues like that or had any?

Cheers and Thanks, in Advance

I combined the two parts with ffmpeg and recently watched them all twice. The most recent time was over the weekend. Our nVidia Shield is on an older version, but there weren’t even seams or anything. Have you tried playing the files with just VLC to confirm there’s no encoding errors?

Happening on a lot of different clients which sounds like a server issue.

Looks like it was problematic even merging the two parts using FFMpeg

Currently, it is re-doing the MakeMKV Rip to see if it’s not an issue with the File. Checked with VLC and it is playing as it should, with Plex on different clients the error is completely repeatable. So I#ll keep you up to date.

EDIT: I don’t know if it’s MakeMKV 1.17.5 or my ASUS UHD Drive but for some reason, the LotR and Hobbit UHD’s won’t rip today. I know they are a **** in the ass, as they are so damn hard to read but that timing is really something else.
Anyway, it only has this audio issue on Plex regardless of the client, so we’ll see I guess.

Seems like, Plex needs to fix this on their side with an update to the Server. Anyway, I can reproduce the error on multiple devices, seems like another thing that’s not working nicely these days.
