This is on iPhone. It works on Windows connected to the same PMS.
What is Aural Fixations in appearance settings.
@Rickytin aural fixations are found at the top of the search menu. The setting you are referencing affects how many items show up in those lists, etc.
Thanks Marcjt, another question if you know, why some artists I have the "play āradioā icon is gray out. For example Alanis Morissette.
Yes, I believe it is due to the fact that not enough music in your library matches the artist genre / style types.
As an example, I have an artist that I only have one album for, and theyāre a bit different than the rest of my music. The radio button is greyed out for them, but for others where I have a lot of music, it works⦠so I suspect it is something like that.
Has anyone gotten search to work? Iāve tried on iOS and macOS and the search stays empty other than a Chinese proverbā¦
Yes thatās what I thought but if I go to Plex media server and verify āAlanis Morissetteā the genre / style is āalternative rockā and I have another 24 artist with the āalternative rockā genre / style.
Yes the search works for me.
@Rickytin Hmm⦠So, in Plex Web, do you see a corresponding artist radio for āAlanis Morisetteā?
No āAlanis Morisetteā donāt have artist radio.
I went to see āAlanis Morisetteā tag āsimilar artistā and none of the artist that I have in my library appear in the list so I add one artist and then it appear the artist radio icon.
you might also try ārefresh metadataā on the alanis artist page, so it can pull the latest relations info.
Yes I tried that and it didnāt work, the only way to have artist radio is adding a artist to āsimilar artistā.
If we select Tool, we should really be able to select 4 Degrees.
Yea, definitely work on some iOS Sonos implementation, please.
You probably have your music library hidden from the dashboard. Youāll either need to show it or upgrade to the latest PMS so you can select the new option of hide from dashboard but show in search.
Just wanted to say that Plexamp is great.
My favourite thing is that itās a lot more reliable, particularly on Android. No more notifications out if sync with playback state. No more instances of playback randomly stopping after a couple of tracks. Granted Plexamp canāt cast, so it avoids that class is bugs.
The radio stations are a fun discovery tool.
Thank you, thank you! Finally an actually intuitive music player with the ability to download a Plex library to my iPhone - just what Iāve been looking for for about 5 years! Prism ticks all the boxes for me!
I love the app, but the ability to cast/airplay on iOS is much needed. Other than that 10/10 - great work team!
Loving PlexAmp and Iām finding Iām using it a lot at home over and above Roon.
Not sure if this is on the roadmap already by the ability to control and montior other instances of PlexAmp running on my network would be great.
