Low Volume on XBOX ONE

Has anyone been able to figure out workaround to avoid turning their stereo all the way to max?

The volume is fine on mine.  Maybe play with your audio output settings?  You can choose between 5.1/7.1 uncompressed and DTS or Dolby Digital out.

Mine is fine as well, both through my Onkyo avr and on the passthrough to the tv. Might be something with the levels of how you encoded your movies?

Same issue here. Seems like the audio is low when playing through the XBox One. Games and other apps are just fine however. Any way to boost the audio in some sort of Plex settings (which I can’t find) like you can in the iOS and Web player?

Same here.

Have to crank up the volume when using Plex, but not when using anything else on XBOX One.

All,

I posted this as a "wish" item in the Feature Request forum:  https://forums.plex.tv/topic/135436-xbox-one-audio-boost/

It was a stupid discovery on my part - but my volume was low because I was unknowingly playing the AAC 2.0 feed on my surround sound. Switched over to 5.1 (I have a 3.1 setup) and it’s fine - at least the volume is - now I have the stupid dimming issue.

Thanks jcarlogh.  I currently don't have my XBox running through any sort of receiver at the moment and am only running audio/video through the standard HDMI cable and using the built-in stereo speakers on the TV.  Gaming is just fine and movies on Netflix and Amazon are just fine.  Only the Plex app needs to have the volume cranked up.

As for the dimming issue that's how I discovered these forums!  Searching to see if I was the only one...
