Lower resolution episodes not being over-written by higher resolution episodes

Ubuntu 16.04LTS
Server Version#: 1.15.0.659 (Docker installation)
Player Version#: 3.77.4

For recording, I have it set to replace lower resolution episodes.

  1. It appears that episodes recorded in 480i are not being replaced by 720p version. Note that the 480i was already watched, but I would think it would replace it whether it was watched or not.

  2. Note that the 480i episodes are way ahead (season 4) of the 720p episodes (season 2).

  3. Under the Recordings -> Calendar View, only the 480i shows that it will be recorded, but not the 720p. The same program is on at the same time, but different channels obviously.

  4. If I change the recording parameters to record only from the 720p channel and/or HD only , it does not show up under Recordings -> Calendar View neither.

So it appears that the recording over lower resolution episodes does not work, is this a known bug?

Last night I deleted the two 480i episodes that had 720p episodes coming up and they recorded, even though they weren’t listed on the Recordings-Calendar View list.

So the issue is that it won’t replace/copy over the lower res episode. I can delete episodes from my Roku, so I would assume that the plex server service should be able to remove the lower res and replace. Note that I have commercial removal turned on.

I just upgraded to the latest beta today, along with update for the system and docker. I assume docker had a fix for the security issue recently mentioned.
