My NAS source disappeared from Plex app on Smart TV and iPad

Server Version#:
Player Version#:

My Plex app on Smart TV and iPad used to show my home movie content from a Western Digital NAS drive. The content can still be accessed on these devices via other media players but Plex used to show them in a more stable manner.
Nothing has changed to my knowledge but now all the Plex app menus show are external Plex content and no tiles or sidebar options to see my home movies.
Does anyone know how I can get them back in the Plex app?
I’m newish to Plex so would be grateful for any assistance/
Thanks

It appears that your Plex server which is supposed to run on your NAS, has been seen last time about a month ago.
You might want to investigate if it’s still installed and running.
Do also note that now you need a server software version of minimum 1.8.5

Hi and thanks. I’ve logged in and there is an update i should try first. However it downloads as a .bin file which my Mac (Big Sur) won’t open. I’d be grateful for ay guidance on how to open and install this update.
Thanks again

Your server runs on your NAS and not on your Mac. Therefore you need to install the .bin file onto the NAS and not on the Mac.
How to do that, I cannot tell you unfortunately, since I don’t own such a NAS device.
I would assume you open the configuration menu of the NAS.
