Mac Plex Player exclusive audio playback error (4294967282)

When I’m playing FLAC 88.1kHz or above on Mac Player exclusive mode, the 4294967282 error message will pop-up, but playing 44.1 or 48 is fine… While I use different player(eg Audirvana) and the same setup is fine also… Is this a plex player or hardware problem :frowning:

I’m getting the same error message on Windows 10, both in the Plex Player desktop app.

Having this issue on the latest Windows 10 desktop version (1.17.0.1376-439f8b7f).

I can only play the one song that loads in with Plex (whatever was last played when Plex For Windows closed, or the first song selected after opening the app). Navigating or playing any music results in this error.

This is only on Plex, iTunes does not give me any sort of error on the same file.

Same thing happens to me when playing FLAC albums and playlists. Started happening a few months ago and it’s driving me nuts. Windows 10 Plex application.

Same error here on macos catalina 10.15.7 with Plex Version 1.20.0.1406-f47a81b7.

In Windows and on iOS everything works. I tried changing the transcode settings but nothing worked. Completely removing and reinstalling Plex Media Player didn’t help either.

I too am having this same problem on windows 10. Driving me nuts! Has anyone found a solution.

I’m getting the same error message on Windows 10 Plex Player desktop app. The Android Plexamp app just skips all songs until the end of the list. This started happening today. I thought it might have to do with a Windows update but I see it’s an older problem than that.

Oddly, Movies and TV are not affected by this. I saw a non-forum post about unchecking the box for “Store track progress” in the library setting but mine was already unchecked.

Any help would be great since at this point I can’t play any of the music I have stored.

I experienced the same error today on Plex Web with Firefox and the Windows 10 Plex Player desktop application along with the Error Code: s3015 (Media). I get that message for any media I try to play (I tried flac 44/16 and mkv H264 videos).

Chromium-based web browsers (tried Chromium and Edge) just seem to play the music but no sound…

Plexamp on Windows 10 just shuts down every time I try to play something.

On the mobile side (Plex Android app on LineageOS Android 7) it works fine.

As I’m running Plex from the Linux Server docker container I tried to revert to an older version of the server: didn’t work so I returned to the latest.

In the end I rebooted the computer as it seemed to be the only device to have issues and now it all works fine on Firefox and Plexamp Windows 10 !

I know the last answer is like 2 weeks old and you probably already tried the “switch off and switch on again” solution but for me it did the trick.

TL;DR - Reboot the player and the server
