RESOLVED: Plex server offline to internal network devices

RESOLVED: checking the box Host Network under Network Configuration resolved this issue for me.

Here are the device stats:

Dell R720 server running TrueNAS Scale Cobia 23.10.2 with STATIC IP
Ubiquiti stack - UDM Pro and 24 port switches all with current updates
iPhone 14 Pro Max with current iOS
iPad Mini 6 with current iOS
Apple TV with current tvOS - ethernet
65" LG TV with current OS - ethernet

Plex server is online and running. I CAN access it with the IP address in a browser, but I can’t access the server through the iOS devices or Apple TV. Just shows server offline. Here is what I have done to try to fix the issue:

  • I have a Plex account
  • Plex is current version on TrueNAS…App Version: 1.40.1.8227 Chart Version: 2.0.4
  • In Plex server, secure connections set to preferred instead of required. No disable selection available
  • Internal network only, so port forwarding is not necessary, as that is for remote access
  • Cloudflare VPN has been turned off on iOS devices / no VPN for Apple TV
  • Everything is on the same network
  • WiFi is not set to Private WiFi on iOS devices
  • Entire network stack has been restarted
  • All devices (wired and wireless) have been restarted
  • List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth was tried and didn’t work
  • SSID on Ubiquiti does not have Client Device Isolation checked
  • iOS app has been installed / uninstalled several times
  • iOS app has been logged out / logged in several times
  • iOS app is allowed to access local network (toggled on)
  • Mac app installed - asked if I want to allow insecure connections. Click it to allow

I can’t for the life of me figure out what else to try. I am not willing to completely scrap Plex on TrueNAS and start over because that is too much work and I doubt that is the answer. Anyone have any other ideas not already listed above? I appreciate the advice!
