My server is on a new Mac Mini 2018. I updated my server yesterday and now all DVR recordings are failing. The same update was applied to my iMac 2012 and the recordings work fine. I have tried restarting my computer and Plex. Not sure what else to do?
Have you tried to reconfigure the DVR again.
Thank you for the suggestion. A few moments ago I was able to fix the issue by installing the previous version of Plex. I followed the instructions from the forum post listed below to download the previous version for my Mac Mini.

I just downloaded and installed Plex. I upgraded rather soon after that. (It turns out the version I downloaded from the Plex website, which would freeze when setting up the guide on my Mac Mini predated one mentioned in a discussion from a few months ago!)
I’m now using server version 1.18.0.1944 and it seems like all my recordings are failing with that version as well.
I’m rather stunned that such a major flaw would be allowed to continue beyond one update. This makes updates effectively unusable for Mac users.
Thanks for the fix. I’m going to download the previous version before 1.17.0.1709, like you did, to see if that fixes it.
Just amazed at how much went wrong within 12 hours of installing Plex on my Mac. First version would freeze on setting up the guide. The new version can’t record at all.
Do you still have the link or version number for that particular Mac version that you downloaded?
The should be in: ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Updates
