Looking for assistance as the devices section of Plex Support isn’t helping. All devices are NOT showing up in my device list. I.E. 4 Roku tv’s, my son’s laptop. Yet every other device in my network shows. The server, My other Macs and my Xbox Series X as well as my Alienware iPone and iPad… Can’t seem to figure this one out. Reddit was of no help either Can anyone help me out or does anyone else have this problem?
P.S. all Rokus in the house are working fine (4 of them) and my sons laptop remotely from his moms is working just fine as well. I just want to do a clean out for old devices. Thank you in advance!
Authorized Devices lists devices signed in with your account.
It is a list of devices you have authorized with your account. It is not a list of devices that stream from your server.
Devices signed in with other Plex accounts will not appear, even if you share libraries with them.
I have friends who stream remotely from my server. Their devices never appear in my list of Authorized Devices. Their devices appear in their own list of Authorized Devices.
Not sure why the Roku TVs are not appearing. My Roku Streaming Stick 4K is displayed in my list of Authorized Devices.
Thank you for your response, makes total sense except for the rokus that have disappeared. I’m trying to ban a user and have been running my console to catch any unknown IPs I’ve removed their account and see no activity however ya never know unless you catch random hammers on logins.
