Remote Authorized Devices broken in 1.21.0.3711

Server Version#: 1.21.0.3711
Player Version#: Seems to be all.

Clean install of server. Local Devices listed as expected. No remote devices.

Thanks.

Still a problem in Version 1.21.1.3795

Thanks.

Devices for people listed as Friends in Users & Sharing do not appear in the list of Authorized Devices.

Devices signed in using the Plex Server owner/admin account do appear in the list of Authorized Devices, whether local or remote.

Agreed, this is the behavior I see.

However this has changed recently. I used to monitor the type of devices coming in from the users (AppleTV, FireTV, SamsungTV, etc) and now I don’t know a way to get the information via the UI.

Is this a known feature change or is it a bug/regression?

Thanks.

I don’t know the history (I’ve only had remote users for a few months). Maybe somebody from Plex can provide more info.

It would be nice to have the same level of detail for Friends as what is shown for owner/admin devices.

The client version would definitely help. It would make it easy to tell if a user has an old release of the client and needs to upgrade.

The User History in the Dashboard shows device and platform, but not versions. The server log files have the same info - device & platform, but no version info.

FordGuy is correct.

You will see the devices being streamed to in the activity but not in “Authorized Devices”.

You will see only your devices in Settings - Authorized Devices.
