I’ll check it out and report back. Just making a backup of my file.
Just in case.
Since this is how it’s going :

I’ll try this build! ![]()
I will check it out and install it on my server and report back.
I installed Version 1.40.3.8355-923a3b226 early yesterday afternoon and it appears to be stable. No crashes and no issues for remote users. PMS is running on a Mac Studio with an M2 Max.
implemented it too, fingers crossed.
I installed the new build you provide on your post. Since the install Plex has been up and running. So far so good, definitely a step in the right direction.
I do have a question. Am I missing anything changing the file from HLS to http.
- Gracias
Well, 12 hours without crash, old regular build can’t relate to that record. ![]()
It’s looking good. What was (apparently) the problem?
It appears there is a bug in one of the link time optimizations on the the mac clang fork. (may have been fixed in later versions of clang)
Betrayal of the tools. The worst kind. ![]()
And not the easiest to catch I guess…
Quick update, not sure if related but never had that one before…
No crash BUT trying to watch a new ep of a show today, I got “no media found”. Had to kill Plex Server and relaunch it so the plex client(s) (I tried 3 computers / devices) could read it. Weird.
I am having the same issue, since the last update. Rolling back the update does not help. I can not get it to load enough to get any logs.
Does this mean there is a fix coming soon?
I guess but the build here is working fine.
No crashes until now ![]()
A post was merged into an existing topic: macOS server soft crash
Ah, I missed this link. Will give it a try now.
How does his build compare to what was/is available in the BETA Channel? Should I be turning off auto updates for now as well?
Yep don’t update from Plex, it’s a special build to test the fix. ![]()
Still having crashing issues even after roll back.
did you tried this?

runs stable for me, no crashes anymore
