Main Plex account can't see my server

Today I opened Plex as I very often do (Plexpass member since 2011). For some reason no servers show up under my account. Under settings where the drop down is to select a server doesn’t even show up. Other users I have shared my server with can see it and play media no problem. The truly bizarre thing is even when I log into it directly via ip address it still doesn’t show up. I’ve tried logging out and logging back in. I’ve tried the Windows app, the web app, and the Android app and none of them see that I have a server anymore. I’m out of ideas.

Some more information. Under my Authorized devices it says that the server was last authorized 5 days ago. When I look under ‘Manage Library Access’ I can see each friend I’ve shared with and that they have access to X number of libraries. However if I click on a friend it says:

user has access to:

You don't have any connected servers.

It seems my server is disconnected from my account. How can I re-add the server to my account?

You might want to disable any *arr apps for a while. See if this behaviour returns.

Hmm… I recently rebuilt my server and changed IP. Maybe the *arr apps are trying to talk to the wrong IP? I did notice that Overseerr was. The other apps are set to notify Plex so that it scans on completion. Does this lock timeout or is there an action I need to take to unlock it?

I followed the steps of shutting down Plex, then removing those keys from the file (made a copy of the file first). I then started Plex and connected to it from another machine on the local network via the IP. It first asks me to finish setup and it looks like my server is back at that point… Except it shows I’m not logged in, the server is unclaimed, and it’s unreachable outside. It says to login in order to claim the server, so I try to login. The everything on the homepage disappears. Go to Settings > Settings > General and click “Claim Server” it spins for a while and the button comes back, nothing happened. I can’t seem to claim my server now.

Okay, I think I found the problem. Plex is being run as a container. I migrated from OMV to Unraid as the host OS. Being unfamiliar with Unraid there is some weird shenanigans with the networking if eth0 isn’t being used. It had detected my mother board’s onboard NICs as eth0 and eth1 while my 10G NIC was eth2 and eth3. I thought no big deal and just setup the bond with eth2 and eth3… I noticed some oddities so I disconnected eth0. Still oddities. Today I’m home from work (I travel weekly for work) so I decide to look at this networking issue again. I find out I can assign which MAC gets which eth number. So, I fix all that. Something still isn’t working. For some reason DNS is set to automatic but it doesn’t seem to actually be getting DNS from DHCP. I have no idea why so I just set DNS statically. All the weirdness goes away… Plex allows me to actually claim my server and things look back to normal.

TLDR: It seems when migrating to a new server build and OS somehow it didn’t get DNS from DHCP and therefore couldn’t do any DNS resolving until I set it statically.
