What is the point of the Home Screen? If I were going to configure it I would configure it like the old landing page with “On Deck” at the top and the rest of the Recently Added items below.
And it’s buggy as-is anyway as you can see from various posts below about it constantly refreshing or whatever its doing. Please give this abomination a toggle-off. It’s not needed and probably wasn’t asked for.
As previously asked by many people many times before - concentrate on bugs in the features you have before adding more buggy features.

So in short, I strongly suggest that you rephrase your suggestion to simply ask, if the home screen can be switched off, instead as a suggestion, use biased phrasing (And negative as well), that is founded in your use case
Really? 90% of my viewing is done from on deck for shows and recently added for movies from that home screen.
Did you actually intend to link to something? Personally I have Plex on my Shield, ATV-4K and the LG app. There are no bugs that I noticed on any of those clients.
Finally I’m all for options and I’m all for using my precious votes even on things that I have no personal use for.
Sorry but cut out the drama and hyperbole and stop assuming you know what others want or need.
