Making DVD images

I have already created a decent library in plex of both movies and tv shows. Up until now, I have used MakeMKV, but now I am wondering if there is a way to rip DVD’s that preserve the DVD “experience.” Meaning, I get the DVD menus, options, etc…

I am also familiar with Handbrake and have access to both Mac and Windows. If there is a good “how-to” please offer a link, or write up a step-by-step please.

check out MakeMKV’s “backup” feature. this will store your disc content in it’s “natural” format.
keep in mind Plex cannot deal with those!

No menus. In fact, it is a big plus that Plex does not include the menus.

You can transfer a lot of the bonus content into a Plex library though.
That includes different language and ‘commentary’ audio tracks / subtitles.
