I was wondering if there was a way to make Plex shuffle a set of shows but keep the episodes in chronological order. I’ve been trying to do this for a while but adding them into a playlist takes forever because of the volume of shows I’m trying to add.
Say I have Show1 Show2 and Show3,
I want Plex to play Show1Episode1, then maybe Show3Episode1, then Show2 etc. Never playing Show3Ep5 until Show3Ep4 has been played.
I tried doing it by making a collection, then making it shuffle the collection but only the unplayed episodes, but that doesn’t work because they aren’t in order.
There was a reddit post in 2017 where a guy claimed he had a script that would do this, but the script has since been removed.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could get it done? I’ve looked into a lot of things but can’t seem to find the answer. Some people have claimed Kodi can do it but I don’t really want to set that up when I already have Plex working for the most part.
