This only seems to affect “Smart Collections.” Manually created collections seem to work as I would expect. It occurs in both Movie and TV libraries.
If a smart collection is created, and configured to be visible on Home, Library, etc, it shows up in the Manage Recommendations as it should. However, if you delete that collection, or rename it, it remains as an item for configuring. Resetting Customization or rebooting server doesn’t resolve the problem. The item insists on being an option.
In the attached screenshot, the collection named “Recently Released Movies” no longer exists. The collection named “Undecided? "Here’s 10 Random Movies” has been renamed and reconfigured to “Undecided? …Here’s 15 Random Movies” That is, it has kept the original name I gave to the collection.
As I mentioned, the bug only affects smart collections. A manually created collection that is deleted is removed as an option to configure in Manage recommendations. (As it should)
Optimizing and restarting server makes no difference. It’s been a problem for a while, so maintenance should have kicked in several times as well as the times I just manually run the clean bundles and optimize DB from the web app when adding or deleting a bunch of media.
Did you try doing a hard refresh of the browser? This may just be cached info.
Edit - Recently Released Movies is an auto-generated hub in Plex like Recently added. If you have a collection with that same name, then you’ll see 2. Since I only see 1 in your screenshot, that is likely the default one.
I can reproduce this issue with renaming a collection. I can’t reproduce with a deleted collection. Although you may not have that issue either if it is only the “Recently Release Movies” I mentioned above.
Man, do I feel stupid! I never bothered to check any other libraries for the “Recently Released Movies” hub. I’m slowly but surely moving all of my movies to one library, so the other, older ones are seldom used.
Well, at least the renaming issue can be reproduced. Thanks for looking into that. I would imagine it’s related to the renaming collections post here;
