My main profile can connect via the android app just fine to my 2018 Samsung tv, but my managed user is unable to do so. We’ve tried the current app and the beta release from yesterday and have had no luck. It never shows up as an available player. We also haven’t seen a way to add media to a currently playing queue natively on the TV, which would be fine if my managed user could cast via their android phone.
Do you try to directly login/sign-in with your managed user to the Plex client installed on that Samsung TV or is this solely about casting to it?
I suppose if your TV’s Plex app is signed in as your main user, it will not accept streams from other clients?!
I’m signed in as my main user on the tv, and as the main user can cast to either the main profile on the tv or the managed user profile on the tv, but cant cast as the managed user to either account. As far as my understanding went it should be possible for my managed user to at least cast & control to their corresponding profile on the tv. I have also tested and both my main and managed user can control either tv profile from the web app. The only issue we are having is using the android app as a managed user for casting purposes. They can also control the web app just fine from their phone.
