Managed user can't see new server

Server Version#: 1.32.7.7621 (and earlier) (Linux)
Player Version#: web (Chrome on Linux) and FireTV

I’ve been running a Plex server (on host “G”) with two users: myself (the admin) and an account called “home” (managed user)

I just setup a second Plex server on a new host (on host “F”). Then I powered off “G”. I’ve given user “home” access to my first collection there.

The admin account (via both Plex web and FireTV app) can see the new server “G”. But the “home” account (via both Plex web and FireTV app) can NOT see “G”. It only reports “F is not reachable”.

How can I “refresh” the servers that user “home” thinks it can see?

Thanks…

Check if you’ve granted the managed user access to the new server‘s libraries. As the managed user you might need to update the sidebar, pinning the new libraries to the sidebar (unpinned libraries should still show in the More section)

I’ve definitely given the managed user access to one of the collections on the “F” (the new server).

The managed user’s sidebar is… messed up. All the old pinned items refer to the old server, “G”. When I go to “more”, I just don’t see a listing for the new server “F”, like I do on the admin acct.

The fact that the admin acct can “see” the new collections convinces me that this is NOT a software bug (neither in the server nor my two clients). So it must be the managed user’s settings themselves. They somehow need to be “refreshed” to “see” the new server, or – equivalently – that they have access to the new collection on the new server.

Thoughts on next step?

I’m having the same issue. Following for updates.

I think I found it.

Settings → Plex Home → Click on the managed user → Libraries
