Tested on multiple web browsers, multiple phones, directstream tv boxes, smart tv apps. Haven’t tested game consoles yet.
So I stopped trying to fix it and it fixed itself maximum shrug
I suppose some authentication was a little delayed after updating the server software, I think things are good again.

Yah, came here for this exact issue. Admin account works fine home user accounts have no media.
Will need to check my version and upgrade if needed shortly.
I had the same issue, updating the server to 1.42.1 fixed it for me.
I updated but still have the issue.
By the way, the recommended Plex package version to patch the issue was released before the breach… (for DSM 7.2.2), so that puzzles me (4th of august and beta 11th of sept).

I have upgraded to Version 1.42.1.10060 and my managed users still can’t access the libraries .
This resolved my issue which started about a week ago when all my remote users could no longer access my shared libraries. They simply received “not allowed” like message when selecting the libraries….
However, my “admin” account continued to work fine and had no problems accessing my libraries remotely on several different external networks…I was thinking it was a networking issue related to Plex remote access settings…
I had to update my Plex docker repository to explicitly pull that image using ‘lscr.io/linuxserver/plex:1.42.1.10060-4e8b05daf-ls278)’ to get the needed version. This resolved the issue with all my remote users losing access to my shared libraries.
I wish my remote users received a message from Plex stating that the server needs to be updated in order to restore access to the shared libraries :-/
Moreover, there has to be a better way for Plex server admins to get notified that their current Plex server version no longer supports remote access to shared libraries…
