Managed users - Library has no content when viewed by Folder

Server Version#: 1.19.4.2902
Player Version#: 4.35.1

Hi all,

I apologize if there is a similar thread with this topic elsewhere. At first I of course searched here in the forum, but unfortunately I didn´t find an answer / a solution to my problem that has been going on for several months and I still hoped that with some update it would be solved.

I use NAS server WD MyCloudEX2Ultra, where PMS is installed, I already using PlexPass, Plex app is installed on 3 Samsung smart TV´s (2019). I have created an admin account and an account for my daughter (10y). If I select any restriction profile (Younger Kid, Older Kid, Teen) in daughter´s account settings or if I select “labels/tags” which I previously created for marking the movies and then switch to my daughter’s account (in the web player or on the TV), after logging into the home screen and selecting “Folder view” unfortunately I don’t see any content, if I remove all restrictions / labels, the content will show fine, including “Folder view”.

Is it just by me or the known “in progress” bug? Or does anyone have a solution? I’m frustrated that I’m paying for a Plex Pass and I can’t fully use this feature. I don’t want my daughter to have access to inappropriate movies.

Thank you for any advice, help, information

Tried to search the forums for this issue, and came across this post from a Plex Team Member, saying that this is intended behavior:
Library has no content when viewed by Folder

That is still correct. Folders don’t have any information so by having restrictions, none of those rules can be applied to a folder, so any restriction conditions fail so you don’t see anything.

I don’t get how this can be the Plex Team answer. If folders don’t have that information, then add the ability to set that information! Let me choose a folder and mark it as G or PG. You’re saying I have to choose between no restrictions at all for my kids or not letting them use the folder structure. That may make sense for commercial movies and shows but does not make any sense for training videos, home videos, etc… where you aren’t looking for a specific and well-known title. I bought Plex Pass specifically for this purpose and now it seems useless.
