I want to do a manual backup of my plex metadata.
Is it as simple as copying the folder to an external device?
Am I right in thinking that the metadata folder will contain all the personal tweaks and amendments that I’ve made to the descriptions and posters for movies etc that I’ve imported into plex?

To add to @OttoKerner’s post…
Simply copying the files to another location does not preserve file ownership, which will cause complications if you copy them back.
Using Hyper Backup or the scheduled task will preserve ownership, making restoral much easier.
