Manually matching TV shows produces zero results

Server Version#: 1.24.5.5173 (linux)
Player Version#: n/a (using web client)

Initially I installed PMS on my thinkpad, which runs Arch Linux, to see if it would suit my needs. I added a TV Shows library and everything worked perfectly: it recognized all my shows, downloaded metadata, etc. So then I tried to do the same thing on my Intel NUC (also running Arch). But when I did the exact same setup here, it did not find any matches for my shows. It just shows the name of the show, and each episode as “Episode 1”, “Episode 2”, etc. When I try to manually match the shows, I get “no results” every time. I have tried every metadata provider.

I’m tempted to delete my whole account and start from scratch, since I have a feeling the issue is caused by me having two identical servers set up on the same account (even though I have stopped the first one).

Any ideas?

The most common cause of this symptom is DNS resolution issues. Make sure the machine running the server can resolve hostnames correctly, specifically plex.tv.

If you can supply your server logs I’d be happy to take a look.

SSHing into the machine and running ping plex.tv, it does correctly resolve it. Though it fails when I try to use other utilities like nslookup and drill (I’m sure there’s a problem with my configs somewhere). What do the logs indicate? Is the plex server instance also having DNS problems?

Hey, I fixed it! I just had to configure systemd-resolved by symlinking /etc/resolv.conf to the stub file it provides. Now the manual match worked!

Many thanks for the help! Folks on the subreddit just kept hounding me about folder structure, when I knew it wasn’t that (since it worked on my first machine with the same files/folders)
