Massive Problems With PMS On QNAP NAS: "Unexpected Error"

Server Version#: v1.42.2.10156-f737b826c
QNAP TS-451D2 x86_64

Linux version: QTS 5.2.9.3410

Everything worked fine until I stopped PMS on my QNAP NAS because I wanted to copy the music database (which failed, maybe due to the size of the database with over 350,000 files).

Started the server again 2 days later, but nothing worked. So I removed the app from my NAS, restarted it, re-installed the app, restarted the NAS and added the music and the video library again.

PMS started to re-build the music library, but not the video library.

Since 2 or 3 days I get the “An un-expected error has occurred” when I try to access the music library.

Last restart of the NAS was yesterday because there was a firmware update.

Any helpful advice is appreciated.

Okay, I could solve the problem now.

After having removed the app from the NAS I removed the whole directory

/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer

Restarted the NAS and surprisingly the above directory with some data was there again - removed the whole thing again, restarted the NAS again, re-installed the app and added Movies and Shows to the library.

After these libraries have been updated i added my music library again.

Looks like it is working again currently.

My first thought would have been a corrupt or damaged database.
