Match choosing wrong TV Show from thetvdb database

This error appears to only affect this TV show, so I am unsure if the bug is with Plex or TheTVDB. In the screenshot you can see me trying to ‘Fix Match’ on the show “The Art That Made Us”.

I have renamed the folder “Art That Made Us {tvdb-418474}” to match the Series ID from the page: https://thetvdb.com/series/art-that-made-us

But it is choosing the Title (and episode titles) from here: https://thetvdb.com/series/books-that-made-us-au-2021

Weirdly though it is not getting the Description or Artwork from there though (and is choosing the correct ones), so some part of the matching is correct.

Edit: I have tried renaming the folder as “Art That Made Us {tmdb-195971}” to match https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/195971-art-that-made-us?language=en-GB but it has not made a difference.

Thank you, that appears to have worked. “Books That Made Us” is still there, but “Art That Made Us” is now present.

Is there an official way to fix this myself if it happens with any other series?

Unfortunately not. This was a manual fix in Plex’s metadata cache.

What you can do though, is to check if either metadata source (IMDb.com, TheMovieDB.org, TheTVDB.com) have links in their databases which point to the wrong item on another website.
i.e. “Books that made us” on TMDB having a link to “Art that made us” on TVDB or vice versa etc.
These incorrect links are often the cause for this type of issue.

(But that doesn’t mean that you should go and purge all links betwen these sites!)
