Wrong tv Shows metadata

Hi,
I can’t get the option ( Match ) to fix the TV Shows Metadata what’s so ever.

The shows is like this
TV Shows > Kingdom > Season 1 > Kingdom.2019.S01E01.Episode.1.1080p.NF.WEB-DL.DD5.1.x264-MZABI > Kingdom.2019.S01E01.Episode.1.1080p.NF.WEB-DL.DD5.1.x264-MZABI.mkv

it only stuck with wrong show Kingdom 2014
( https://www.thetvdb.com/series/kingdom-2014 )

where it should display Kingdom 2019

any suggestion ?

Name your files properly:

https://support.plex.tv/articles/200220687-naming-series-season-based-tv-shows/

I did … what’s the other way ?

So they no longer look like this? If they are indeed correctly named, chances are you will have to perform the Plex Dance, search the forum for the procedure.

usually all shows names I download are similar to this and sometimes at least I get option to fix it
but now no such thing …

the requirement naming is somehow applied here
shows name and year and season

Kingdom.2019.S01E01.Episode.1.1080p.NF.WEB-DL.DD5.1.x264-MZABI

When there are multiple version (years) of a TV series, its always best to include the year in the top folder, so there’s a better chance of a match. It also looks like you have a subfolder for the episode itself. Plex probably won’t work that way. Proper naming would be something like this

Kingdom (2019)
… Season 01
… … Kingdom (2019) S01E01.mkv

It’s usually best to use the title the way the TVDB displays it. I noticed this series just has “Kingdom” for the 2019 series. So, it might work with just the title

OK, so you didn’t rename your files to Plex’s recommended format. There are so many things in your format that will throw out the scanner; full stops rather than spaces, year not in parenthesis, random tracker/group/quality information at the end.

I don’t know what to tell you, follow the guidelines laid out by Plex and you will have far less headaches like this.

I did rename it now but same issue

  • Kingdom
  • Season 1
  • Kingdom-S01E01-Episode1.mkv

is it maybe because its new show so no metadata for it yet ?

That format is still not correct, leelynds gave you the correct naming schema for this show.

Best bet is to look up the show on www.thetvdb.com and name it exactly how it is on there.

Found it …
https://www.thetvdb.com/series/kingdom2019

isn’t same name ?

still it didn’t work

  • Kingdom-2019
  • Season 1
  • Kingdom-2019-S01E01-Episode1.mkv

They don’t look the same to me. Lose the dashes, add spaces and use parentheses.

from my experience with plex what’s so ever if Plex doesn’t get it at first
it won’t ..

here is the image of my file names and still didn’t work

You are using one subfolder per-episode. That is not needed.

ok not needed but even removing it won’t change anything ?

shall I ?

Definitely.

You should also make a habit to insert space dash space after the tv show title.
e.g. Kingdom (2019) - s01e01.mkv

Filebot allows you to do all that relatively quick and painless.

Same issue .. just I need Fix Match so I can match it manually

Is your tv show library pointed exactly at the folder TV Shows?
Edit your library, go to the ‘Add Folders’ tab to find out.

Does the tv show not show up at all
or
does it use no metadata
or
does it use metadata of a different tv show?

side note: Your subtitle files need to be named exactly like the video files – apart from the extension .ara.srt at the end, of course.

all my other shows are display perfectly with correct metadata

as per your question its show totally different show with different metadata.

My show is Kingdom 2019

but it shows
Kingdom 2014
