Matching problem on Plex server on Qnap

Hi,

Lately I have issues on my plex server. Normally when I add new movie or any media files, when I press match, it automatically matches the media file and collect all the data. However last a couple days the plex server hasn’t applied matching until I restart the plex media server.

I did not change any thing on my plex server and it started suddenly. Do you now how I can fix it?

  1. Which PMS version is installed? 1.3x.x or 1.40.x beta ?
  2. Can you provide us server logs ZIP file which capture some of this not working?
    (Scan files, let it finish, then gather the DEBUG server logs – helps most)

I had a similar issue today, I added several movies and TV shows and noticed none of them had matched at all.

When I tried to manually match a few of the movies, there were no results (the “Match” dialog showed “Nothing found” instead of a list of potential matches).

Same if I went to an already-matched movie I had added in the past and tried Fix Match: nothing found.

After seeing this topic, I manually stopped and restarted PMS, manually launched a library scan, and it matched all the movies and shows I had added earlier successfully.

The Fix Match dialog also now returns results instead of “nothing found”.

PMS release notes:

  • (Agents) It is possible that agents are not initialised during startup on rare occasions (#14654)

Ah, so if the agents were started properly (like e.g. they seemingly were when I restarted PMS two days ago), then they presumably would keep working so long as PMS doesn’t get stopped?

Without context, I somehow thought you were saying one would have to restart PMS every time after adding new content to a library…
