Matxh issues - Synology 218+

Version 3.34.1

Ive owned my 218+ a few weeks now and the match function has been sporadic. The thumbnails show scenes from the move, the fix match function does not return any results from TMDB etc. Ive even tried the IMDB identifier in the title.

Most of my library is now matched, but new additions generally exhibit this issue.

Can anyone offer some help please?

Naming conventions are just like what I used with Kodi…

Folder = Movie title (Year)
File = Move title (Year)

It sounds like your database has become fragmented.

Would you please go to Settings - Server - Help - Download Logs and attach the ZIP file it gives you here with your next post?

If is is not the database, we can clear the HTTP agent cache. They sometimes get ‘clogged up’ due to normal internet communication issues.

Thanks so much Chuck, log attached. I also somehow copied the wrong version, its: Version 1.10.1.4602

The database is largely in good shape. As I suspected next, the agents are having trouble.

Easy resolution here albeit it detail rich.

  1. Stop PMS
  2. Control Panel - Shared Folders - Edit the Plex share - Make certain your username has R/W permission and save
  3. Open File Station
  4. Following: Plex - Library - Application Support - Plex Media Server - Plug-in Support - Caches
  5. Delete everything in there
  6. Start PMS
  7. Force refresh all metadata for the impacted libraries

Thanks Chuck. Sadly Im still not getting any matches on the most recent addition/s. Any further ideas?

Could you provide some examples of the files and the names you have used please.

Hi Trumpy. So the stubborn one currently is Thor Ragnarok as shown in Chuck’s error codes above. Path is:

/volume1/Movies/Thor Ragnarok (2017)/Thor Ragnarok (2017).mkv

Thank you Trumpy, I’ll give that a try. Interesting how its worked for you.

P.S. I notice I dont have a parent ‘Media’ folder, just ‘Movies’ sat in root. Surely that cant be the issue as it still sort of works in most. Thor seems to be the issue somehow. Ive checked permissions.
