Im attempting to follow the directions at https://support.plex.tv/articles/200241558-agents/ and I seem to be having an issue “saving” the agent settings for the certain Library Type. For Instance, I select “Shows” and am able to select TheTVDB but switching to “Movies” to select TheMoveDB then switching back to “Shows”, it selects “Personal Media Shows” instead. Am I to assume that, whichever one you select, it should be marked upon re-entering that particular section? There is no “Save” button so I assume its a dynamic save and needs no button.
To make a permanent change, you need to go to The Side Bar, click on the 3 vertical dots next to the library you wish to edit, go to Manage Library, and then to Edit. Go to Advanced, and then from the drop down, select your preferred Agent.
This, however, only works for newly added content. All of your library will have to be "Fix Match"ed, with a manual selection for it to show up on an individual show basis for things already added…
You could delete the library, and start over from scratch with a New Agent though if you wanted, that would be the quickest way for a large library, however, your “Played” data would be gone, and so would any custom metadata you’ve added to anything…
Yeah that is the first thing I did and it is chosen correctly there (since its inception i imagine). I just thought it was strange that it wasnt saving it in the other section.
I have a tv show that I cannot get the poster art for no matter what agent I choose which led me to think it wasnt selecting the right agent.
No, TV DB is having issues with all kinds of things… I added 4 shows between yesterday and today and there’s no posters for any of them… You can input your own poster though, I use ThePosterDB.com for that… Or simply copy the link for the poster I want at TheTVDB and use that…
