My Plex Media Server lives in a jail on my TrueNAS. This jail has two mounts: One holding all media meta-data, and one to a directory holding all of my media is separate directories within.
I am in the process of rearranging my music library on my NAS. I have added a few new directories and added them to the Music library. I have removed an old directory from the Music library, but the actual directory itself still exists and still contains the music it always had.
I have scanned the Music library and when opening Plex in a web browser, the music in the new directories appeared, and the music in the directory removed from the library is marked ‘Unavailable’, just as I expected.
However, when opening the Plex app on my iPhone or iPad, the the music in the directory removed from the library is still available. It plays and everything. It seems to be synchronized, because the music in the new directories is available too, but I expected the music from the old one to be gone. As far as I know, I didn’t download any music only my iOS devices.
Is this a (known) problem?
