Media gets to end and won't go back to the menu

Just for numbers purposes, I am also having the exact same issue on my PS4. The Plex server is being hosted on a fully updated Windows 10 machine on my Wireless AC Network (yes I’ve tested it wired in also). My PS4 is also fully updated.

Hopefully we get a fix or solution here soon.

Can also attest to this problem. PMS on OS X 10.10.3, PS4 fully updated.

I upgraded my Plex NAS media server yesterday with the latest 0.9.12.18.1520-68333552 build and have noticed that when my show or movie ends and enters the credits, when I press the STOP button the screen freezes with the 3 dots. I then have to quit the Plex app to return to my PS3 menu and relaunch. However, when I do that, Plex then shows the show/movie on deck and is only about 1/4 of the way in. The other thing I have noticed is during direct playback I am getting a shutter of the show/movie. I then make the change to 720 kbps and it is ok. I haven’t experienced this in a long time as the only thing that has changed in the Plex build. Let me know if you need anything from me in order to troubleshoot.

Same here. I have reset pms and even rebuilt the library. I have also tried every setting on the Ps4 but it still freezes.

Same here while playing any video original or transcoding on local neteork on both ps3 and ps4 also happens if i pause the video longer than 5 minutes also I noticed that whatever video I was watching and finish watching, plex says I only watched a few minutes of it

Same issue here i updated the server to the last version i reset the plex media server rebuild the library. And again freeze my PS3 App on the end of the movie…

i have the same issue. Playstation app says Server not available.
The same issue i have when i try to pause / resume a movie. Doesnt matter which movie size and type.

The app and the Server are on the latest Version.

Since the client version changed on PS3 im experiencing similar problems. Doesn’t matter if i direct play, direct stream or transcode; if a try to exit it after starting or let it play through im greeted with […] than it shows the cannot find ‘server’ with 3 options.

Has this got something to do the the proxy note mentioned in the last update for ps3/ps4 (2.4.34)? This started happening yesterday so it lines up.

Same thing is happening for me. This did not happen with 2.4.30 and was introduced as a regression in 2.4.34.

Only way to workaround is to quit (exit) plex and restart it again but even doing that leaves the item you were watching as unwatched even if you have finished watching it.

Yup. My PS4 keeps losing connection, too. Running PMS Version 0.9.12.18.1520-6833552 Oct 29, 2015 on a mac mini, and have the latest PS4 app. Files stored on a Synology.

Haven’t had this issue until quite recently. It’s very frustrating.

Same issue since yesterday on PS3 - will try my PS4 tonight, however I expect to run into similar problems as stated above also with PS4 systems.
(Server = Lenovo X250 via LAN, Data = Synology DS215J - never had any problems so far wiht this kind of setup…)

I have been having the same issue myself for the last several days, ever since I updated my server to 0.9.12.18.

The video will play through just fine, but after a point I can no longer control it (play, pause, etc). If I try to stop it, or back out to the season list, I get three dots in a black box on screen. The same dots show up if I let it play itself all the way through. Eventually, it will time out and tell me that the server is off-line. The only way to get reconnected is to force the app to close, then start it again.

Rinse, repeat.

Got the same problem!! Plex is crashing at the end of each show / film / anything viewed. It also crashes for me if I stop watching mid show / film and then try to resume watching, in a couple of minutes it crashes out and the only way to get Plex working again is to close the application and re-open, every time.

Having the exact same problems as everyone else, it crashes at the end of any movie or show (or if I pause at any point) and shows the progress on anything I’ve watched at about 1/4 of the way through, even if I’ve watched all the way to the end. Only way to fix is to quit and restart. Definitely started with the 2.4.34 update, before that everything was fine.

I tried downgrading my server back to version 0.9.12.17 but it has not resolved the issue.

Would really love to get confirmation that this issue is being looked into as it is clearly effecting a LOT of users.

Same problem here on PS4. Starting to get annoying having to quit out and restart app whenever I want to watch something new.
